Prestigious Pollie, Bulldog Reporter Awards Highlight Winning Strategies' Recognitions in 2009

NEWARK, N.J. (Nov. 16, 2009) – Winning Strategies continues to receive the highest praise from our peers through an array of industry awards, including recognition from the coveted Pollie and Bulldog Reporter Awards.

The Pollies, presented at the annual conference of the American Association of Political Consultants, are often referred to as “The Emmy Awards of Politics” as they recognize the best in more than 100 political campaigns and public affairs categories such as political consulting, media relations, Web site development and direct mail. Winning Strategies received the Silver Pollie for its development of NJREBEL.com for the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.

Winning Strategies also won a Bulldog Award for “Best Not-for- Profit/Association/ Government Campaign” for its work on the “Repeal of the Death Penalty in New Jersey” campaign, presented by Bulldog Reporter, one of the most well-known and respected names in the PR industry. The successful campaign resulted in a law replacing the death penalty with a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole, marking the first time that a state in the United States had legislatively repealed the death penalty.
